Après la création des vitraux de la cathédrale de Rodez associant l’iconographie religieuse avec des images tirées de la biologie, de l’imagerie médicale et des formes issues de ses bocaux anatomiques, Stéphane Belzère a repris et développé le motif des "Cerveaux IRM", symbole de la pensée divine dans ses vitraux. Dans une série de gouaches à partir d’un système de pochoir (10 séries de 5 numéros), il explore les formes combinatoires des deux hémisphères pour en recréer d’autres, plus abstraites.

After the creation of the stained-glass windows of the Rodez cathedral connecting religious iconography with biological images, medical imaging and forms from his anatomical jars, Stéphane Belzère took up and developed the motif of "MRI brains", a symbol of divine thought in his stained glasses. In a series of gouache from a system of stencils (10 series of 5 numbers each), he explored the combinatorial shapes of the two hemispheres to recreate other forms, more abstract.
