Suite à sa participation remarquée à la 69ème édition de Jeune Création en 2020, Marcos Uriondo s’est vu décerner le prix indépendant de la Galerie du Haut Pavé qui accueille sa première exposition personnelle dans ce lieu historique dédié à la découverte de jeunes artistes contemporains.
Comme le souligne Lena Peyrard dans le texte de l'exposition, Marcos Uriondo investit les murs de la galerie qu’il transforme en un terrain de jeu associant le langage à un corpus de peintures, de sculptures et d’objets domestiques transfigurés. "L'exposition que j'aurais aimé vouloir faire" dessine, avec humour et un sens aigu du second degré, le portrait en creux de l'artiste et des conditions dans lesquelles son travail a pris forme.

Further to his participation in the 69th edition of Jeune Création in 2020, Marcos Uriondo was awarded the independent Prize of Galerie du Haut Pavé which is hosting his first solo exhibition in this historic place dedicated to the discovery of young contemporary artists.
As art critic Lena Peyrard points out in the text that accompanies the show, Marcos Uriondo transforms the walls of the gallery into a playground by connecting language with a corpus of paintings, sculptures and transfigured domestic objects. "The exhibition that I would have liked to make" outlines with humor and not too literally the implicit portrait of the artist and the conditions in which his work took shape.
